Leonardo in the spotlight
On Wednesday we headed over to Mechelen for one of Belgium’s most famous shows and the place to be fort he equestrian community between Christmas and New Year.
The second day of this show is most interesting for the breeders with on the program the final freejump competition for 2 year olds, the Sires of the World and the competitions for 6 and 7 year old stallions.

Protea Stables is a young training-, trading- and breeding stable based in Belgium. The main goal of our training stable is to educate (young) horses and unleash their potential in a correct and friendly way.
In our breedingprogram we use mares that have already proven themselves in the showring or descend from a proven damline. In our stable we have all the expertise and experience within reach to develop our own products from the small beginning to their highest potential.
To be a a guide for young talents, to stimulate them to develop their talents and to witness their first milestones, that is what we strive for and what give us, as a team, satisfaction.
