Moving upwards in Rotterdam

Robin headed over to Rotterdam for the CSI2* with 2 Jewel’s horses: P-Jewel’s Promise and Q-Jewel’s Touch of Quality.

On the first day the horses had to get used to the impressive arena resulting in one fault each in the 140 class. Once the familarisation in the arene was done both horses were really confident resulting in a 6th place for P-Jewel’s Promise and 3th place for Q-Jewel’s Touch of Quality on day two. For the final day Robin was able to really pick up the speed with Q-Jewel’s Touch of Quality jumping to a 2nd place in the 135 class.

The cherry on top came from P-Jewel’s Promise in the CSI2* GP. This delicate course over a height of 145 was decided without a jump-off because only one rider managed to finish a clear round. Robin and Jewel were the only ones with one fault resulting in a beautiful and well deserved second place.

Summary

We have been neglecting this page a little bit but we’ll try to make up for it because a lot of real cool stuff happend! Time for a summary :

Leonardo started off the year in a very victorious mood. After having some time off he started jumping international again in February with immediatly a win in the CSIYH* of Opglabbeek.

Two weeks later he repeated that performance by winning the 7yo stallion class during The Zangersheide International with no less then a 2 second lead on number two. In March Leo kept jumping like a pro piling up the places of honor with a 3th anf 4th place in CSIYH* of Lier.

Looking back on the results we’ve noticed one thing in particular: During all his international shows Leonardo didn’t finish outside the top ten. That’s some statistics to be proud of!

Another horse stepping up is P-Jewel’s Promise. In the beginning of the year she had some nice placings becoming 4th, 3th (3 times!) and 2nd in the 130-140 on several CSI2*. This past weekend she finally conquered her first win in the national 140 class of Wuustwezel. This 9 year old mare will now get the chance fors ome bigger classes.

My Jewel’s Magic Touch prooves to back in the game and being fully competitive by winning the CSI2* GP 145 LR of Lier in March.  This victory was more then earned and enjoyed by the whole team of Protea Stables and Jewel Court Stud.

We are more than grateful for wat the beginning of 2024 has brought us and looking forward for a lot more exciting things to happen.
